Named after the curve of the Kapama river in which it makes its home within the expansive Kapama Private Game Reserve, the River Lodge is the epitome of five-star safari accommodation.  The majestic Drakensberg mountains form the backdrop to the River Lodge, which is positioned along a bend of the seasonal Kapama River.  It's the largest luxury game lodge in the Greater Kruger National Park.

Kapama Private Game Reserve occupies a vast area betwen the northern Drakensberg mountains and the Greater Kruger National Park, in the north-east of South Africa.  It spans 13,000 hectares of the magnificent South African bushveld, teeming with wildlife.  The best airport to fly into is Hoedspruit Airport, as it is just 10 minutes drive from the reserve entrance and Kapama offers complimentary transfers in open game viewing vehicles.
